Hard pop (2024)
Hard pop explores possible convergences, as well as apparent divergences, between classical ballet and dance in pop culture. The choreography is constructed around rhythmic patterns and melodies from twenty pop songs, which are either silenced on stage or recalled in a deconstructed form.
It’s a piece for six roles: five dancers and one accompanying musician–stage technician.
